I’ve got an 03 sportsman that needs a speedometer replacement, it looks like the original replacement #3280425 is discontinued but the #3280431 is available and looks to have the same connections and layout. The hubs just won't engage. I had a problem in the past where the four wheel drive did engage, but one hub wouldn't disengage so I ended up replacing the internals of that hub. Did fresh hub oil for both hubs. Still nothing. My speedo cluster is junk, maybe this is the problem because the 4x4 works off the cluster, but the wire splice method ...speedometer 3 wire sensor testing. The sensor has a positive, a negative ground and a sensor wire. The sensor to ground has 3.75 volts. Spinning the hub does not change the sensor voltage, so I am thinking the sensor is bad.
