Hey guys, Recently i got into he LBG style of play and i like it very much. I have a sticky 3 build and my favorite the rapid fire pierce with the blackwing bowgun. Now i wanted to try some elemental LBG with rapid fire but im at loss at how the ammo actually works. Does elemental ammo use like 50 percent of the raw value or how is it calculated ? The best pierce 3 hbg that is walkable gets trashed on by the rapid 2 narga lbg. Same is true for almost every ammo type except spread which is roughly even. The difference from the hbg Special ammo being better can't make up for that difference, especially when lbg wire bugs are better for mobility and buff your dmg.

Raw LBG is still very viable, in term of general damage it goes like this: spread 3 > RF Pierce 2 > Normal 3. From my understanding the answer is No, pierce under performa vs almost every single high level target compared to zinogre lbg and magnamalo. Take a look at the bullet hitZones of a monster to see if pierce is viable.
