Also check the light harness connection at the plow. The iirc 9 or 11 pin connector you plug from the truck to the plow. If that one is not plugged in/losing connection you will get the same symptoms as you are describing. Maybe a loose terminal or its getting wet. Coming off the solenoid positive side is a red/green wire that powers 2 fuses that turn into red/blk and red white and plug into port 1.Your not going to see power at the grill unless the plow is plugged in. you'll see power at the relay as it is hooked directly to the battery.
