Bending the metal tab on the brake pedal dowel arm solved everything - no more "service stabilitrac," "traction control off," Service ABS," cruise control problems, limp mode, etc. Brake lights were coming on at 6 second intervals each time the pedal was released.

Was getting engine trouble light with P0171 and P0174 codes. StableTrak alarm and rough idle. The small rubber vacuum cap above the #2 spark plug got bumped and knocked off. Replace the rubber cap and temporarily pulled the ECM fuses to reset the codes. Problem is gone and engine is idling properly.I have a 2014 GMC Acadia Denali. Stabilitrak/Traction Control messages can be illuminated if the brake fluid level is low. That's something to check.Nvr2loud said: 1) It isn't really a serious issue, the Stabilitrac and Traction Control systems are useless anyway, so good riddance if they permanently self-destruct. 2) It isn't wide spread at all, very rare and typically just an ABS sensor or indexed ring that has gone bad or corroded.Sorry to read about all the issues you have been having!
