Have a J frame 5 shot with 3 inch barrel that I am trying to identify when it was built. With cylinder swung out the yoke is stamped 36-1. The hammer main spring is coil type with center rod and ball on lower end instead of leaf spring. RH side plate has only three screws. Serial number on bottom of frame is only three digit, 9XXJ1.I recently bought another Dan Wesson, the seller stated it was a 357 with a 4"HV barrel. When it got here it was a 22lr with a 4" HV barrel so I thought what the heck all my 22's are euro target guns. Why not a wheel gun. Any help on the age would be great serial #9151.
