Great pistol and carry optic option. I really struggled with the decision of capturing my first impressions of the optics ready VP9 and the Trijicon RMR in a single blog post or splitting into two separate posts. I went with the former option for two very simple reasons. First, another first impressions review on the H&K VP9 felt redundant.I'd rather shoot the P30L or P30 in LEM than the VP9, although I think the VP9 is by far the best striker-fired trigger out there (Walther is too light for my taste). Recoil between P30L and VP9 seems a close comparison when shooting 147 grain ammo. And yes, agree with HasBeen. P30L seems to naturally drop back to target better than the VP9.Many will want to compare the HK VP9 vs Walther PPQ as they consider them to be related. The HK VP9 gets its ergonomics from the HK P30. A gun that many say takes ergonomic cues from the original Walther P99. If you look at the grip shapes from a distance, they appear very similar. But there are a lot of differences between these two guns.

I went down the path of VP9, VP9SK, P30 V1 LEM, and P30SK V1 LEM. I settled on the VP9 and VP9SK. The reason was the trigger. I just prefer the trigger break farther forward as is the case for the VP9 and VP9SK.
