On my successful attempt key factors were 1) Thrawn not dying and landing Fracture on Malgus early 2) deathmark bouncing to everyone but Malgus 3) swiping on Malgus whenever possible to reduce his mastery 4) SLKR reaching full ult and 5) Thrawn still not dying and able to fracture Malgus a second time. 1. If you lose echo or tech restart.
