I have a Nissan Xterra 2008 (200K miles). A week ago it was hard to start and have VDC and OD off lights on with the check engine light. It also appeared to have a slip/stall in the engine (almost like a momentary shift or underperformance). I pulled the code 0340, camshaft position sensor. The simplest thing to do is to take it back to the dealer. My 2008 Xterra had the VDC/slip light on when it was delivered. Just took it back the next day and they fixed it. Not really sure what the problem was. They said the steering angle detector (or something like that) had to be re-adjusted and the computer had to be reset.
