2021 Best Non-Noble Units For Each Role? I’ve recently arrived back into the game with the release of Bannerlord Online mod. I’m introducing my friends to the game for the first time. I’m looking for an updated list of the best units per role since a lot of the guides and forums seem outdated with where the game is now. Best Heavy Cavalry?
30 infantry, 50 archers, 70 horse archers, 50 cavalry for a cavalry focused army. 80 Infantry, 100 archers, 20 cavalry for factions without horse archers if youre using faction troops only. H E A V Y. C A V A L R Y. A lot of horse archers and mixed melee cav. A party of 80 can kill parties of 300 lol.Shock Troop: Aserai Place Guard followed by Sturgia/Battania. Pure Archer: Battanian Fian. Non-noble: Aserai Master followed by Imperial Palantine Guard. Note: Vlandian Sharpshooter has the best armour of any archer class, a massive shield and can be used as infantry. The Infantry would act as a wall while the ranged troops did most of the work, and keep the cavalry in reserve to deal with enemy units out of the ranged troop's range, or trying to flank the formation.

Italian Spartacus on YT does a pretty good troop breakdown on which troops do the best at what they do. But honestly, how you use your troops is more important. For instance, Battania have the worst horsemen, but shield walls protecting a large number of Fian archers is incredibly good. Vlandians are a good cavalry and crossbowmen.
