Washington State Ferries is advising travelers heading to the Clinton Ferry Terminal that they will face a two-hour wait for the next sailing due to heavy traffic to the mainland. The incident led to increased wait times for ferry riders during a very busy season on the route; alerts about extended waits have become standard this summer. Growing up when my sister and I went to stay with my grandparents on Whidbey Island overnight our parents would meet us at the Clinton ferry terminal to pick us up. Our grandparents would bring us here early and we would sit/adventure and wait with each other.
